It is only THREE weeks until the end of the year.

Does this scenario sound familiar to you?

I used to have all these ideas of what I wanted to get done each year, especially as December rolled in, but as I would look back, the majority of my Ideas/Goals never ever happened.

While driving or listening to a podcast, I would get these unbelievable “AH HA” moments.

I pause and think of all the good I can do with my “NEW” idea and before I know it, I see another shiny object and my mind races to my NEW best idea.

Now back to the remaining three weeks till the New Year.

What does this mean and what can you possibly do now to capture those ideas reach your year end goals?

Well, if you keep all your goals in your head, you will never accomplish any of them. (A Great Book to read is The Power of Habit by Charles Duhigg.)

Let us Kick Start our short term GOALS  (21 DAYS):

  • Write all goals Down.
  • Keep Goals displayed where you will see them everyday, Keeping them Top Of Mind.
  • Share your Goals with someone else – now you have an accountability partner.
  • Have your accountability partner ask about your goals.

Goals To Reach in 21 DAYS:

I find that once I am on the right track for one goal the other goals are easier to attain, as most of the time it is “mind over matter.”

  • Shut OFF the TV.  Turn the TV off until after the holidays and you will be amazed at all the time you will have.
  • Read a Book (see first goal and spend the new found time reading)
  • Exercise regularly.  Maybe it is a morning walk, visit to the gym, or just a bike ride through the neighborhood.  I hated morning exercise but after dragging myself out of bed and getting myself to the gym in the morning, I have found myself to have a better attitude, more energy and I tend to watch what I eat, as I remember back to those miles on the treadmill.
  • Family Goals: clean out the garage, donate excess, volunteer
  • Write a family budget. The Gallup poll states only one in three families has a budget.  If you do not have a budget you will soon lose track of your money.
  • Business Goals: Write a business plan.  This will take a little digging deep and research, but there are many resources to assist with your plan.  Remember, plans can be revised but you have to start somewhere.
  • Contact all your customers and let them know you value them as customers and friends with a hand written note.
  • Find and Connect with all of your clients and networking members on Facebook (Friend them)

Do these goals seem a bit overwhelming?

I suggest you take our Facebook Year End Challenge!

It’s just three simple things to do from now until the end of the year (a little bit each day) to get leads on Facebook. GOOD NEWS! You can delegate most of the tasks and have the other person report when things are done.

Once completed, you will want to tackle what’s next on your list of goals and you’ll find that it is easy to start the next goal because of the momentum you’ve built.

I often compare the accomplishment of goals to rolling a large rock.  It takes more effort to start than to keep up the momentum.

So take the challenge, download the 3 Steps to Getting Leads on Facebook and good luck with your End of Year Goals!
