3 Steps To Get Leads On Facebook

Get out of your bubble! Get uncomfortable!

Now, let me tell you about the message I received.

The message was from a contractor’s mother that has been following us, why?

Because she loves the content we put out, we don’t put out any content that you don’t put out or you can’t provide, but what we do is, we go LIVE.

Going live a lot of times is out of people’s comfort zone’s.

It’s FREE, I don’t like to spend a lot of money on things that I can’t measure growth from.

Facebook, it’s great to be there, you have to be on it with this day and age of social media.

If you’re on it you might as well go live.

What does going live mean?

Going live means basically, you take the camera and you go down to the post button and you push down the ‘go live’.

It will ask you, what you are filming, you can put “interior painting estimates walkthrough in Boston, Massachusetts.”

You hit go and it counts “1, 2, 3,” and you are live and you are actually then taping live.

This can also be viewed later on.

So walk around, talk about a job, talk about wherever you are.

It’is really uncomfortable for many people, but it can be fun and people like to see what you are actually working on.

If you are actually doing kitchen cabinet repaints, tell of a better way to do it.

Walk around someone’s kitchen and show the process that you are actually working on.

There will be mistakes, there might be random items around the house, but who cares?

That’s life, but go live, people love it!

Think about how many people watch reality TV.

You probably do, I used to, I don’t watch TV anymore, but I used to be a reality TV guy, I love all the fix it shows.

The original reality show in my eyes was this old house way back when on channel 2 PBS, it was amazing.

But anyways, going live, it’s free, it’s a way to reach out to your customers in a natural setting where you can actually go around and just walk around a job site or walk through a paint store.

Maybe you see something strange, are you going for supplies at a big-box store, maybe that’s a time to go live and explain.

Anyways, these are a couple of ways to get more viewers on your live feed.

A lot of the time, we are doing a live feed and we’ll look and there is only one person watching, then they fade off, then maybe have three or four.

As you do it more often and communicate with the customers and your viewers while you are doing this, you are going to notice that your views actually increase.

What you want to do is let them know when you are going live.

If you know you are going to go live 1 o’clock on Friday as you do your walkthrough of the last job you are doing for the day, let people know, “hey, 1 o’ clock, I am going live, I am going to show you this awesome exterior repaint we are doing.”

Make it fun!

You can always start an event to go live at noon, “big walkthrough of a church,” wow, what a fun job but maybe there’s something different you want to let them know, make an event to go in live.

Let them know you are going live and as soon as you start going live, even if nobody is on there, start talking, start explaining.

Once again I am going to use Boston, Massachusetts, tell them you are on an exterior, walk around in Boston, Massachusetts, on a residential property, looking at the prep and the paint choices the customer has.

Walk around and then re-hash that again, maybe two, three more times as you are walking around, just in case you get late viewers.

The reason you want to start talking as soon as you go live, is you want people who are going to watch the video again later on when it is recorded to see it is not dead space, so you want to explain there.

Also, you want to engage the viewers, if you have one person, say, “Hey Bob, thanks for viewing, how are you today? What do you think of this place?”

Ask them some questions, also ask them to share, there is a little share button, and if they share it’s the same thing as a regular posting.

Maybe you want to introduce a job site you are on, maybe you want to introduce a new member of your crew.

Maybe you just want to introduce your crew as they are having some fun.

Maybe you are painting the peak of a house using a lift and you want to film from either on the lift with your harness or from the bottom and talk to your guys at the top.

And then, talk, don’t just walk around with a lot of dead space.

Engage. Engage. Engage!

Remember, this is your comfort zone, you want to expand it aallll the way!

That’s where the magic happens and people start to remember you.

Also, thank anyone that watched and make sure to reply to every comment.

Send them a reply on their messages on your live feed after you are all done and thank them for getting on.

If you do this a couple of times a week before you know it, it will become a habit and people will love watching your videos and live feeds.

Your live feed is also going to get more and more viewers and higher rankings, more and more people are going to see it.

Anyways, that’s another free tip there, getting out of your comfort zone, go live on Facebook.
