How To Find Time For Yourself

You’re probably wondering, “what’s with the funky helmet?”

I am Ron Ramsden and I am a DYB Coach and I’m also a painting contractor in Northern Massachusetts.

I am just coming back from a bike ride it’s about 11:30 in the morning and I’m thinking about how great this is.

A couple of years ago I didn’t have time to do anything.

Here is mid-week I’m off for a bike ride, why? Because something I do now that I never did before is I schedule everything.

I get up in the morning, I know my schedule for the day.

I know I’m going into a jam session, writing blogs and checking in with my crews.

My estimates are all booked online so this gives me extra free time.

And the way I got my free time is through a couple different things.

I let my customers book their own appointments.

From there everything goes into zapier which falls in my estimate rocket.

My CRM just happens to be pipeline deals. Also, send out cards.

That takes about five-ten minutes for every single customer that I don’t have to keep adding their names and all the information on.

Also, I execute jam-sessions.

I sit down, I focus on something that I have to do.

Get rid of all annoyances, any interruptions and I get it done.

I also schedule my exercise time. I schedule kayaking with the wife, as you see we both like to do that.

But I also schedule other things. I know some people like to fish, some people like to do all that stuff.

These are things you can schedule. If you start taking control of your time and write everything down on a calendar, do a to-do list every day.

You are going to find if you keep to it, you’ll end up with free time. Like I said, two years ago this wasn’t happening. Now I have time to bike ride, I have to exercise.

I have time to sit down and read a book.

Schedule, schedule, schedule. You’ll find your life goes much, much easier when you schedule.
