Your tired of the “same old same old” .
You never thought you would still be breaking your back and chasing money everyday.
You are a business owner but you feel like the business owns you.
Weekends are suppose to be to rest, not worrying about work.
What is a vacation?
If you can relate to this, then it is time for change.
HOW?
You do not have to make major changes to see positive change in you and your business.
Start with the Small Things
- Start every day with a list and cross things off as they get completed.
- Wake up an hour earlier everyday. The key here is to go to bed an hour earlier.
- Exercise (you don’t have time you think, shut off the TV or computer for a half hour and go for a walk) this is not only exercise but it lets you clear your head and recharge.
- Have weekly, monthly and yearly goals and post them so you will see them everyday. How can you achieve something if you do not know what your aiming for? In fact we just had a great ALL DYB Community webinar presented by April on goal setting, which you can check out for $1 here.
- Read a book.
“You are the same today as you will be tomorrow except for the books you read and the people you meet.” Charlie Tremendous Jones.”
A few small changes in your business can result in HUGE results
- Appearance: maybe it is time for a new look, all thought the long beard and favorite shirt that you love so much is your everyday go to outfit, maybe a clean polo and a clean shaven face is what your new customers are really expecting.
- Send a “Thank You” note to a customer for allowing you to provide an estimate to them.
- Visit a local networking group with other business people in your target community and DO NOT ask for business. Ask them how you can help them.
- The Rotary
- The chamber of Commerce
- BNI Business network International
- LeTip
- The local Board of Trade
- Downtown merchant association
- The Lions
- Knight of Columbus
- When joining a networking group or trade organization raise your hand when they ask for help on a committee. This is the fastest way to get to know people in that organization.
- Meet your local representative you purchase supplies off of and ask how you can help them. They have sales goals to reach and as in most things, one hand washes the other and they will think of you when something comes their way.
- Wash your vehicles at least once a week, First impressions are everything.
The Small Changes list could go on and on. I often compare it to a wedge. it will start off small then it starts to grow and grow and before you know it you look back and find that all the little changes have made a huge impact on your life and business.
