I have mentioned it before, that’s where our reviews lie, but Google for Business, that’s a strong, strong tool to use and it’s free!

If you have an extra 15-20 minutes, create a Google My Business.
Google “what is Google My Business,” it gives you all these options.
You go on it, you’ve claimed your Google My Business site already, we’ve talked about that, that’s how you get your reviews.
If you haven’t already, you can apply for it, land your spot and claim it and they will send you a pin number in the next 4 days to 2 weeks.
After that, you’ve actually claimed your spot on the internet.
Once you have that, you want to build it, you want to ask for reviews, but you want to edit the information, that is free to do and I don’t pay for anything but I make sure my Google for Business page is full.
It’s going to give you some options, you can post text, you can post pictures, add a little story underneath it, then you can share those on Facebook, Twitter, etc…
There’s also a picture album, you want to fill this picture album with as many pictures as you think you can load up there.
It’s free and you can tag those pictures, so when someone goes to, let’s say Boston because that’s where I am, you can put #Boston #exterior #painting and you can tag all these pictures.
By doing this, you make your pictures viewable so that when someone googles “Boston” or “exterior painting” and then they hit the images, those pictures will show up.
Wouldn’t it be great to have all of your pictures loaded up and tagged with your name?
Pretty strong presence, also the reviews are up there as well, we’ve talked about reviews, they are free and they are so important for your business!
Once again, we have pertinent information, you want to keep that updated, make sure to put your website’s hours of operation.
Also, insights, insight is a great little tool too and then you can find out if people are actually coming straight to you from a Google search or they are coming in some other way.
Messaging, messaging is the big add-on that they did a little while ago.
You can load up your cell phone number or whatever number you use for text.
I received one yesterday, people are actually able to text you once they find your page.
That’s why I am doing this video, someone texted me early in the morning.
The message said, “Hello my name is Dana, I am interested in having a couple of my rooms painted, I live in ____ do you come here?”
Right away I jumped on the phone, gave her a call and set up an appointment for her this week. So, that was just a text and she never even had to pick up the phone, she didn’t even go to “you can book me.”
YouCanBook.Me is an option you can use to book clients effortlessly.
All they have to do is select an open time on your schedule and BOOM they’re booked!
Also, when you’re searching your name or your company’s name and you come to, let’s say we are searching “Boston interior painters” and we see the list, we go over and we click ours, (hopefully you are in the top 3).
Then you will see on the side, the information for the person you selected, and you are looking at your company.
It’s going to say your name of your company, ours is Ramsden painting, it has a star next to it, then it will say how many reviews it has.
If it has 20 reviews and you are 4.8-5 or hopefully you have more than 5 reviews and you’ve generally moved up on the search.
You have your reviews, also make sure all of you information is correct, and if you want to receive a text, why not, it’s free.
You’ve got to have your voicemail set up, they are trying to get in touch with you, give them the option to text to reach you.
Now, this is all free, we haven’t spent a dime yet.
Please, please, please be sure to load up pictures!
They’re SO important because when they see your business name, they see a portfolio of pictures under there and they can scroll and scroll and scroll and it’s so great!
We are in a very visual position of contracting, so take those pictures, save those pictures, and share them!
Also underneath there, you are going to have your reviews summary, which is right underneath your pictures.
There will also be a bar below your pictures with all of your reviews.
Reviews are so important but this is very important, Google, as we know, Google and Facebook seem to own the world…
Take time and fill out this Google review and add that info for anyone to contact you, so, so important.
Many people tell me they are on a budget, yet they’re out there using these lead generation tools when there are other free options right in front of their face!!
Those lead generations might be good for some, I don’t hear a lot of great things about them over time, but you stop paying them, what happens?
It stops working, if you take care of these things right here, it will just give and give and give.
