Remember the Rolodex?

A quick glance at the letter tab rising above all the other cards snuggly in place on the wheel.

A little spin and presto all the information on that one client was there.

Sometimes scribbled, sometimes neatly typed…

  • Last Name, First Name
  • Address
  • Phone number
  • Misc info

All at your fingertips.

Well if it were up to me we wouldn’t have ventured off that system due to my lack of fondness for technology.

Until… I was introduced to PipelineDeals.

PipelineDeals has simplified the art of CRM (customer relationship manager) In short, this is where you keep all the information regarding customers/clients at your fingertips, to help you close more jobs, faster.

We are able to search for a specific customer and/or deal from one search entry, once you start typing it starts searching.

The most difficult time most people having is becoming familiar with a new piece of software, PipelineDeals is the exception.

Follow me as I walk you through entering in a new customer and deal that pertains to that customer.

1  Entering a new customer’s information is as easy as touching the plus key at the top right of the screen which will result in a drop down menu where you will click “person”.

2  A new entry form will appear with all the open fields to fill in, at this point fill in any known information regarding this specific person, if any field is unknown it can be filled in at a later date as needed.

The most important entry other than the basic contact information would be the source, this is where the client was sourced from.

If you know where your customers are coming from then you know where to spend your marketing dollars.

3  Once saved you will see a small “pop up” at the bottom left of your screen displaying “create deal”.

4  At this point, you can click on “create deal” or go to the persons name you just entered and add deal on the full screen

Adding a Deal:

Adding a deal is pretty cut and dry as you fill in the appropriate entries.  An important note here is to fill in the status appropriately as this will make it easier to determine the status of a deal on a chart or report.

So much more than the Rolodex:

Entering all notes regarding each an every client as thing happen.

– Sent “thank you” note

– Provided an additional detailed estimate

– Offer sent for painter for a day

Attaching pertinent documents and proposals for quick and easy retrieval, how many times have you had to search for a document that could of been at your fingertips in seconds?

The importance of the Status of a DEAL:

In the previous step, we entered the “status” of each Deal

This will make report reading and additional information at your fingertips invaluable as you can easily search and display reports by “status”

About the Author

As a newly single father of two from MI, he struggled to start over as a paint contractor in FL, going door to door. His situation was so bad, even the IRS had mercy on him.

Feeling completely hopeless, he remembered the story of King Solomon praying for wisdom. Could it be so easy?

He felt he had absolutely nothing to lose. So, as a bankrupt, divorced, high school dropout, single father of 2 young kids, now living 1250 miles away from all friends and family, started to pray for wisdom.
And while he continues to wait for the wisdom to arrive, what did come was an insatiable desire to learn and read books…
Thanks to God for giving him the burning passion to read books, and attend seminars, (oh and winning the wife lottery) he not only cracks the success code and overcomes the struggle, but also streamlines his painting business in less than 3 years, published a how to book, then sold the company. Now he leads a business coaching company for painting contractors so he can help other businesses, like yours, to do the same. Hear more... http://www.DYBCoach.com/01 Or JoinDYB.com
