For years I had worked and worked knowing there was always more work around the corner and when a customer called, I put them on a list of “Things to do”.
I had one customer who, until recently, I thought was my “Best” client and my companies Bread and Butter.
In 2015, they provided my company with almost $300,000 worth of work.
In 2016, they were keeping us busy now and then and, as always, handing me projects to provide estimates for them, which in some cases were quite substantial and time-consuming.
Fortunately, I implemented PipelineDeals CRM and started keeping track of my numbers, and sources the revenue was being generated from. Knowing your Top 10 Sources of CLOSED sales is HUGE!!
Do you know your Top Ten Sources of CLOSED Sales, with the real numbers to back them up?
Much to my surprise, after utilizing PipelineDeals for a little over a year, I found what I thought to be my “best” customer was actually third in line and slipping quickly to lower on down the list.
Moreover, what I thought to be my “Best” customer was also very demanding of my time, which the rest were not.
To boot, this “best” customer referred me to very few other customers whereas my first and second ranking sources provided me referrals over and over again.
We have all heard Steve Burnett say that they would not have scaled Burnett Painting near as fast had they not used PipelineDeals and now,
PipelineDeals has become a vital part of scaling my company, and sourcing our revenue has never been easier.
As you can see, revenue is color coded and can be modified as new sources are added or eliminated.
To add a source on Pipeline Deals you “click” on your profile picture and a drop down menu appears
Click Account Settings:
Click Sources toward the lower left:
You can add, modify or delete sources.
This will allow you to hone in on the specific sources that are providing your business with positive revenue and also limit resources to the sources that are taking away your precious time and efforts.
A quick snapshot of my business is also available on the “Home” screen of Pipeline deals where you can view your financial picture as according to the deals that you have entered and move thru your sales funnel.
Please note that if a Deal is not changed in status (estimated, won, loss, etc.) during the sales process, the numbers will become skewed.
An added bonus is that PipelineDeals displays your “close” percentage.
No more guessing or pretending to know our numbers as the numbers are here in black and white.
Is it time for you to have your numbers easily at your hand to know your Top 10 Sources for Closed Sales? Let’s get the black and white answers.
